Ghana’s twittersphere has been awashed with tributes for young talented musician, Ebony Reigns.
The artiste passed away in a gory motor accident at Mankranso in the Ahafo Ano South District of the Ashanti Region late Thursday night.
Following the news of her death, Ghanaians from all walks of life have been paying tribute to Ebony.
President Akufo-Addo in a twitter post said, he was “saddened by the news of the death of the young, but extremely talented female artiste, Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, aka Ebony Reigns.”
Immediate past President, John Mahama who expressed admiration for Ebony’s “Maame Hwe” track, describing it as “my favourite track on domestic violence and relationships,” noting that “a talented life has been cut short.”
Other notable personalities have also been paying glowing tributes in memory of Ebony.
Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng (born 16 February 1997 – 9 February 2018; known by the stage name Ebony Reigns) was a Ghanaian dancehall/Afrobeats artist widely known for her hit songs “Poison” and “Kupe”. She was discovered by Bullet, a member ofRuff n Smooth fame.
