Gov’t appoints nine-member board for Ghana Gas


Government has appointed a nine-member board of directors to steer the affairs of the Ghana Gas Company.

The board, which is chaired by Hon. Christine Churcher also has Dr Ben Asante, Chief Executive Officer Ghana Gas as a member.

Other members of the board include, Hon. Andrew Kofi Egyapa, Mr. Awulae Amihere, Mad. Delphine Dogbegah, Nana Owusu Ababio, Hon. Abraham Osei Aidoo and Mr. Joseph Kwaku Accolatse.

At a swearing-in ceremony in Accra Monday, Mr. Boakye Agyarko, Minister for Energy and Petroleum charged the board to find innovative ways of securing sustainable revenue for the operations of the company.

He charged the board to concentrate on three thematic areas namely; technical, commercial and community relations.

He also urged the board to ensure that all Gas sales, processing and transportation agreements are executed appropriately.
